Problems We Solve

Common Insulation & Damp Problems in Irish Homes

Cold walls, surface condensation and cracking render are among the most common problems in Irish housing — particularly in older solid-wall, stone and concrete block properties. VIPEQ cork insulation addresses all of these with a single thin application.

Cold Internal Walls

Cork spray insulation raises wall surface temperatures in solid-wall homes and older Irish properties — improving thermal comfort without thick boards.

Condensation & Mould

Surface condensation, black mould and damp patches caused by cold walls and poor vapour management — a widespread issue in Irish housing.

Cracked or Failing Render

Weathered, cracking or peeling external render — cork render Ireland provides a flexible, breathable protective coating that bonds directly to the substrate.

Leaking or Ageing Roofs

Flat roofs, asbestos cement and felt membranes — waterproofed with a seamless spray-applied rubber system that stops leaks permanently.

Retrofit Insulation Problems

Traditional insulation is too bulky or invasive for older Irish buildings — breathable cork insulation offers a thin, vapour-permeable alternative.

What Is Cork Spray Insulation?

Cork Insulation Ireland — A Different Approach to Retrofit

VIPEQ Thermal Corkspray is a natural, spray-applied cork insulation system designed for Irish homes and commercial buildings. Unlike traditional insulation boards, it is applied in a thin coat of 3–6mm directly onto existing wall surfaces — internally or externally — without major disruption or structural alteration.

Cork is a naturally breathable material. This makes it particularly well-suited to older Irish buildings — solid walls, stone cottages, concrete block homes and heritage properties — where vapour-impermeable systems can trap moisture and cause damage.

As a thermal cork coating, VIPEQ raises the surface temperature of cold walls, reducing the temperature differential that causes condensation to form. It simultaneously acts as a flexible render — protecting the façade from cracking, weathering and water ingress in Ireland's wet Atlantic climate.
