How Do I Stop Condensation in a Shipping Container?

Shipping containers are essentially steel boxes with very low thermal mass. The metal walls and roof cool rapidly overnight and in cold weather, falling below the dew point of the air inside the container. Moisture from the air, from stored goods, or from damp contents then condenses onto the cold steel walls and ceiling — causing "container rain" that drips onto and damages whatever is stored inside.

To stop condensation in a shipping container you need to raise the internal surface temperature of the steel walls above the dew point.
