Commercial & Industrial — Steel Sheds
A spray-applied natural cork thermal barrier that stops condensation dripping from steel roofs and walls. Conforms to corrugated steel, raises the internal surface temperature above the dew point, and improves thermal performance — without rigid boards.
Steel is highly conductive. The internal surface of a steel roof or wall drops close to outside temperature very quickly, especially overnight and through the Irish winter. When warm, moisture-laden air inside the shed meets that cold steel, the surface temperature falls below the dew point and condensation forms — often continuously.
The result is a dripping roof, wet stock, accelerated corrosion of the cladding and frame, and a cold, unpleasant working environment. It is one of the most common complaints from owners of steel-framed agricultural, commercial and industrial sheds in Ireland.
Traditional insulation boards help, but they are rigid. They need battening, framing and mechanical fixings, they do not follow the profile of corrugated steel or trims, and they reduce internal clearance. Gaps at junctions and trims become thermal bridges where condensation persists.
The VIPEQ Difference
VIPEQ is a spray-applied natural cork thermal coating — not a paint and not a rigid board. It is sprayed directly onto the steel and forms a thin, continuous, flexible thermal layer that follows the exact profile of corrugated cladding, purlins and trims with no gaps or joints.
Condensation forms when warm, moisture-laden air meets a surface whose temperature has fallen below the dew point. By improving the thermal behaviour of a cold surface, an appropriate thermal coating can help raise the internal surface temperature and reduce the conditions that lead to surface condensation.

Livestock, machinery and storage sheds with steel cladding where condensation drips onto animals, feed or equipment.
Steel-framed warehouses and factories where dripping roofs damage stock and create unsafe working conditions.
Spray conforms to the ribbed profile of corrugated roofing sheets — no cutting, no gaps, full coverage.
Internal face of steel wall cladding treated to raise surface temperature and stop cold-bridge condensation.
Coats purlins, rails and trims in the same seamless layer — eliminating thermal bridges at the frame.
Suitable for existing sheds suffering condensation, or specified at construction stage on new steel sheds.
VIPEQ's cork-enhanced thermal coating systems are spray- or trowel-applied directly to the substrate, forming a thin, flexible, vapour-permeable thermal layer that conforms to irregular surfaces — steel, concrete, masonry and timber — without rigid boards, battens or significant loss of internal space.

With Cork Insulation installed to our pipeline headers and flowlines, we had zero down time due to freezing this winter. We never had to plow snow or pump methanol. Truly Amazing. Thank you, VIPEQ!
