Warm the Wall — Stop the Mould Permanently
VIPEQ trowel-applied cork is applied directly to the internal wall surface. Cork is a natural thermal insulator — it raises the wall surface temperature above the dew point so condensation stops forming entirely.
Crucially, cork is vapour-permeable — moisture can still escape through the wall rather than being trapped. This is the correct approach for solid-wall Irish homes where sealing the wall causes greater problems.
Important Note on Damp
VIPEQ trowel-applied cork is effective for black mould caused by surface condensation — the most common type in Irish homes. It is not a treatment for rising damp or penetrating damp from structural defects. If you are unsure of the cause, we recommend an assessment before specifying any treatment.
